DEEPER THAN A ROSE

"Nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility:

only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses "

Deeper than a Rose

I dreamt I would paint the oceans blue

a velvet sunrise a prelude to the world

 fragile pearls were left unsheltered

On this blue moon interlude

Your words ran dry, as fading ink

I carried sunlight I had no thought of time

Shadows fading as morning dew

These pages turning

releasing versions of myself

I had created to survive

Deeper than a Rose

The voice in your eyes

It grows light

I loved a rose that bled me with her thorns

Seems I could not stay here no more

Even flowers have their fears

Even flowers break in tears

Shattered pieces I shaped  in new moons

And placed them gently in your sky

A piercing light

illuminated

My darkest room

Deeper than a Rose

The voice in your eyes

It grows Light

It grows Bright

and broke all chains etched in stone
